Welcome to Year 5, Class 9 (2024-25)

"The Quinta is fun, exciting and very friendly. The teachers and teaching assistants are the best and encourage us all of the time." Year 5 pupil. 

We work on Maths, English, Reading and PSHCE everyday but every afternoon is different. You can engage in History, Geography, Spanish, DT, Art, PE, Computing and Science so you are likely to discover a new hobby or pursue a current one.  For subject specific information, please see the curriculum pages on our school website.

In class and around school we are always READY, RESPECTFUL and SAFE.

We love reading at The Quinta and have many opportunities in the school day to read independently or as a class.  Our current class reading book is 'Seven Ghosts'. This book is about children who visit an old manor house as part of a writing competition. Everything appears normal until they start to spot strange apparitions around the house. 

We are very lucky to be able to use Seesaw, an app that connects school life with home. Parents and guardians can view what we have been working on in class.
